Lately I have been fascinated to test the new imaging features of ChatGPT, and I have to say, the experience has been as fluid as it is surprising. This experiment has served me to explore a new way of working visual ideas with consistency, speed and personality.
Conceptual design: a modern kitchen as a starting point
The exercise began with a simple challenge: design a modern kitchen from scratch, starting only from a textual idea. He wanted me to have a Scandinavian aesthetic, natural materials, light to raudals and a welcoming atmosphere. So I wrote this. prompt initial:
«It designs a modern Scandinavian kitchen with a lot of natural light, light wood, white countertops, decorative plants and open shelves. Minimalist and warm style.»
The result was exactly what I was looking for: a light, functional and magazine kitchen, which could be the perfect framework for any gastronomic content.

Creating coherent scenes: recipes generated in the same environment
Once the kitchen was created, the most interesting thing came later. I decided to take the exercise further and asked the model to will recreate some of my favorite recipes within that same stage. The aim was to check whether it could maintain visual consistency with the initial setting.
And the result was fascinating: eggplants filled with fresh oven exits, one creamy cheese cake with crumble, Golden calves ready to wet in coffee... Everything was integrated into that same kitchen, with the same light, the same style and the same level of detail. As if all the photos belonged to a real professional session.

More than images: a tool to prototify visual ideas
This experiment reaffirms me in something I've been feeling for a while: We're not just looking at a tool to generate images.but in a completely new way of prototipar, explore and build visual storytelling quickly.
The possibility of maintaining visual coherence throughout different scenes allows to develop concepts that previously required many more stages: art direction, photography, editing... It is now possible to iterate in minutes and visualize ideas with surprising accuracy and fidelity.
Design reflections after exploring visual IA
As a designer and a branding specialist, this experience opens up new possibilities for create visual moodboards, validate creative concepts or propose graphic universes without the need for large initial deployments.
This allows ideas to come to life much more agile, that we can show visual proposals with context since the first meeting, and that we experience with environments and content in an intuitive and personalized way.
I'm sure this type of tool will change not only the way we design, but also the way we design. communicate visually our ideas. And I already have a thousand ways in mind to apply it in my next projects.
