Briocips is a platform of content specialized in DIY and construction tips, designed for creative people, hands and enthusiasts of the «Do it yourself.». The project is born with the need to build a recognizable and reliable brandfor transmission closeness and technical knowledge, and can easily be adapted to digital environments such as blogs, social networks and video platforms.
The big challenge was to balance the technical and practical with an attractive and accessible visual approach. We seek to create a visual identity that would connect with your community from the first glance, with a modern, fresh and professional tone.
Main objectives of the project
The following is the main objectives to be addressed by this project and those that have been successfully achieved:
- Create a unique visual identity and consistent for the brand.
- Design a versatile logo, which works both in isolation and with a symbol.
- Define a Color palette and typographs that would convey trust, creativity and clarity.
- To visually translate the concept of useful DIY tips.
Tasks performed
A follow-up of tasks, focusing on the creation of the brand and image, has been carried out.
- Design logo and complete branding system.
- Graphic conceptualization identity.
- Definition of chromatic palette and typographic choice.
- Design of adaptive versions of the logo for different formats.
- Application of the mark in iconography and visual system.
Visual identity: colors, typography and symbol
The graphic proposal for a Briocips is based on a visual composition strong, accessible and direct, designed to transmit values such as trust, practical utility and spirit «Do it yourself.». Each element has been chosen to strengthen that personality of a clear and functional brand, designed for people who relegate and move to action.
Color palette
It focuses on the combination of two base colors, yellow and grey, on a white background. Detail below a little more:
- Vibrant yellow (# FFCC4A): This tone works as the main color because it evokes energy, visibility and safety, three key values in the universe of DIY and construction. It is a color that visually refers us to the work helmets, signage and tools, which makes it highly recognizable and consistent with the sector. In addition, he adds a positive and optimistic note, which connects with the educational tone of the brand.
- Light grey (# C2C2C2): Used as a secondary color, grey transmits balance, technical and serious. It represents the functional, the structural, the holding. At the visual level, it balances the warmth of the yellow and makes the whole breathe with clarity and neutrality.
This combination allows modern, contrasted visual communication with a strong connection to the environment of the work, industrial materials and manual work spaces.
Typography
The typographic choice was key to defining the character of the brand. I chose Medula One, a source of thick and rounded geometric shapeswhich transmits strength, stability and a strong personality. It is perfect for a sector like DIY, where the robust and functional are appreciated qualities.
The bold style visually reinforces the idea of "doing with the hands," of something that is built. In addition, having an original but legible form, he can highlight among other blogs without losing clarity.

The word "BRICO", written with this source in yellow, provides immediate visual impact. In contrast, "TIPS" is shown with a lighter typography, generating a visual balance between the technical and the inspiring.
Design of the logo and symbol
The logo has two main components: typography and the graphic symbol.
- Typographic logotype: As I mentioned earlier, the word "BRICO" is designed to capture attention in a strong way, while "TIPS" acts as information support. Together they form a dynamic and clear visual unit.
- Graphic symbol: The complementary icon is part of a composition that fuses a hammer and a leaning beam, visually simulating the roof of a house. This figure not only makes direct reference to the universe of DIY, but also suggests construction, structure and home. Just below, a small four-square window is integrated that symbolizes the interior of the home, that place where blog tips are applied. The diagonal disposition of the elements creates an almost triangular form, visually associated with solidity and stabilitylike a firm roof.
This symbol is designed to be recognizable even in small sizes, such as a social network avatar or a faicon, ensuring brand coherence on any support.

Impact of the project on a personal level and professional reflection
This project allowed me to explore how a concept as practical as DIY can be represented with an aesthetic clean, friendly and contemporary. I managed to create a brand that not only communicates the purpose of Britocups, but also connects with a wide audience, from fans to professionals.
The design versatility has allowed it to be applied on multiple channels in a coherent and scalable way, from the blog to social networks. At the professional level, it has been a key exercise to work on the visual synthesis of complex ideas, strengthening my focus on functional branding with emotional impact.
